 Many
of the characters in the Lord of the Rings movies are compelling. A
favorite, is of course, Aragorn.
This is pure speculation,
but because Tolkien sent his stories to his son who was in the war, one
can see how parts of Aragorn and Frodo can be a combination of himself and
his son, not only in terms of what they do as shown in the movie, but also
in what they stand for--the good of this world.
Or, Tolkien simply created
characters that we all can relate with.
