It is official that a Gladiator "Jr." is being penned and it will be produced.  It will be hard to repeat, especially if actor, Crowe, isn't made to come back to life.  Gladiator "Sr." wasn't a soap opera after all.  It is possible that Crowe's star presence could be utilized like in Star Wars, where Obi-One is shown as a spirit in the sequel.

After considering all the challenges, I admire everyone who is involved in giving us fans something to look forward to. 

How about less blood spewing out of severed necks?  If it cannot be avoided, because the title is Gladiator, how about disguising it by letting the viewer imagine it instead?

It will be interesting to find out at what angle the story will be written.  Maybe Maximus and Commodus had a cousin, nephew, etc. and both will have something to settle.  Maybe the conflict will be who will win Helen of Troy?  But that was already penned by Homer and the star was Odysseus.  That's what's great about stories.  Anything can happen!
